Christmas .... Here We Go.....

Hey!
HI!
Is this not the cutest thing you've ever seen?

It just arrived last week. Its from the 2004 Hallmark
Keepsake, Nello Williams signature
Christmas Collection.

I think you can still get one on Amazon or Ebay.
There is also a matching refrigerator that I have.
My husband got it for me a few years ago and I've wanted
this little stove ever since then.

The light comes on in the oven and it has a little
air freshener so that you can put a cookie flavor scent in.
It hooks up to your Christmas lights.

Oh my goodness....

Are starting to think holiday yet?

A Girly Girl Weekend!

Such a VERY Fun weekend!
Saturday was a vintage themed birthday party for my sweet friend CeeKay from Thinking of Home
It was such a beautiful day and the company was superb!

You really need to see more! The decor was all of her  precious momentos.
Stop by and see her.
Make sure you wish her Happy Birthday!

Sunday... well that was a special day.

Wedding dress shopping.  Sigh....

It really has all the feel of a rite of passage.
So touching and sentimental.
I can't really even express what a joy it is to help
a beautiful young woman transition to the next part
of her life.

Sunday night we celebrated Valentine's Day at The Keg.
A yummy, medium priced steakhouse.

This is my 6oz steak....

 This is Husband's 20oz steak.
I just had to share that. I thought it was kind of funny.

So that is the weekend wrap up.
I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

 Oh! AND P.S.
Yes! There is a DRESS!

 Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Just My Type!

Sweet Hubs was helping his parents clean and sort and
get rid of some things late last week....

He knows me so well... He knew I would love this!
And I do!

It just needs a new ribbon and it is good to go. I'll be using it for some tags and projects and such. I love the look of the type.

Thanks Hubs!

Oh! One last thing...

Thank you to everyone that joined in for Fresh-Cut Friday! The next party will be Friday March 4th. I hope you will join in.

Also... How do you feel about challenges?

Meet Bob And Becky

Hello! I would like for you to meet my new, old friends, Bob and Becky.

This is Bob and his little puppy, Blacken.

This is Becky and her little puppy, Buffy.

These two little precious-es sat on my sweet Grandmother's kitchen window sill for many, many years. I think that they were named Bob, after my dad, and Becky, for his sister, my Aunt Becky.

Aren't they cute?

La Collection De France!

I am a major manicure/pedicure maven! Even when I was very young, I always have kept my finger and toe nails polished. Maybe it goes back to my Grandfather. He owned a shoe store and was a big believer in always buying quality, properly fitting shoes, and taking care of your feet. My favorite nail polish is OPI. And has been for years. It is a little more expensive but I don't have artificial nails and this color always lasts.

Ulta even had a sample pack with 3 different colors... pretty cool ...

But I also have to admit they have the best nail color names.. Here is this seasons new batch.
*Louvre Me Louvre Me Not
*Yes...I Can Can!
*Parlez-vous OPI?
*You Don't Know Jacques!
*Crepes Suzi-ette
*Baguette Me Not
*Tickle My France-y
*Eiffel For This Color
*Bastille My Heart
*We'll Always Have Paris
*I'm Fondue of You
*A Oue Bit of Red

What is the best base/top coat? Nailtiques! This is what I use and it makes the manicure last well over one week..

Joy in July!!!!

One day a couple of weeks ago my sweet mom called and said that she was going to be going through more of her things and "downsizing". This always makes me a little sad. She said that she would be getting rid of some old Christmas decorations and did I think that I would want them? Are you serious? Are kidding me?! I KNEW I WANTED THEM! I got the box Monday and opened it last night. It really was like Christmas in July. Number one, I LOVE Christmas more than any other time of the year. And two, I love any happy attachment to my childhood.
I was so thrilled when I opened the box and found these items. Just look!

These glass ornaments always hung on the tree. I remember at one point, when I was a teenager, I told my mom that I would only hang them on the back of the tree, because "they look so old!" Go figure, now I think they are just the most precious things. I think they are probably from my mom and dad's first Christmas.....

My mom made this the year my daughter was born. She was born in June and this was finished by Christmas!

I gave this ornament to my mom for Christmas the year my daughter was born.... You can click on any of the pictures to see the detail.

These pretty little angels always sat on the dinning room table at my Ma's house. Oh! P.S. Ma = Grandma on my Dad's side.

This little guy was always hanging around some where. Sometimes in a wreath and sometimes on the tree. Just singing away....

This was one of the bonus items that I found. This little precious sat on my Ma's dressing table. it amazes me that my mom kept when she passed away.

But the best thing in the box was this quilt. My mom even put a note with a story about this quilt. I'll share that in another post.... AHHH....All this talk makes me want a cold glass of egg nog!
