Fresh-Cut Friday and The Peruvian Lily

Happy Fresh-Cut Friday to you all and welcome, WELCOME!
May's flower is the Lily. So, today I'm showing the Peruvian Lily, also called alstroemeria.

Unlike the Stargazer Lily, these little lovelies are fragrance free.
They come in orange, red, pink, purple, white, rose, salmon and yellow. These are the red variety.
The common message that you send with these is friendship and devotion.

They are perfect for a bouquet. They have one single stem with many blooms. Which makes for some pretty easy arranging.
I used my antique gravy boat that came from my husband's 95 year old grandma.
So what about you?
How do you feel about lilies?

Yes, I love lilies, and your gravy boat is so special. When my mom passed away, I was handed down her gravy boat that belonged to her mom from the 1940's. I would love to see those flowers in yellow. They are so pretty.

Liz, this is my go to flower much of the time. It lasts forever and is so easy to arrange in different vases.

Allströmeria is one of my favorites. They are long in bouquets and come in many colors. I love lilies but a disadvantage is that it will be easy pollen on the tablecloth. I wish you a nice weekend! Zinnia

I love alstromeria too ! It was always one of my favorites when I had the flower shop. Did you know some people are horribly alergic to it ? I knew some florist that couldn't work with it because their hands would break out in blisters. Thanks God I never had a problem with them. They look so delicate but they are so long lasting . Just love them. And what a coincidence I used them in my post too !
Thanks for hosting this party ! It's one I don't like to miss :)

Hi Liz,
I want to thank you for this post because I have seen these lilies and loved the look of them but never knew what they were called.
I have stargazer lilies in my flower bed in the front yard and love the scent. And even though the peruvian lily doesn't have a scent I think they are beautiful.
Thanks again,
