Good Morning Friday!

Just wanted to show off my little Spode spoons that
I picked up at Home Goods last year.

I had put them away in their box and totally forgot about them.

I was going thru the china closet looking for something
(I don't remember what) and came across them.

I asked myself "What am I saving these for?"
So I put them in my little marmalade jar next to the
coffee pot.

Do you ever do things like that?

Spode Blue Italian Bread Bin

One night last week, I was working on one of my craft projects. The door bell rang and I heard the drop and dash of our UPS man. I didn't think to much about it as my dear, sweet, wonderful, husband orders a lot of things from the internet.

When he came in from the back yard I told him that I thought that something had come for him and that he might want to check the front door. Now honestly! I am telling you the truth. What happened next I can't even explain. But when he brought in the box, I asked "Hey that's not my bread bin ... IS IT?"
Well, he just looked at me with the most pathetic look on his handsome face and said "Do you want to open it now or later?"

I guess you can guess what I chose?
I LOVE IT! Thank you Dear, Sweet, Handsome Husband and
Beautiful Daughter!
Yes, I know I'm a little spoiled!

Blue Italian from Spode a.k.a. What I Want for Mother's Day!

Josiah Spode perfected many pioneering techniques during his lifetime, including in 1784, the process for blue underglaze printing on earthenware, from hand engraved copper plates. Spode's original blue and white designs have become some of the most collectible in the history of ceramics.
(click on the picture to go to the official website, where I was shopping and found this text and picture) ... :)

Now! On to the more important issue at hand! I believe that there is nothing wrong with a little planning and maybe even a subliminal message or two... just planting a little seed here. Because I happen to know that Big- Strong- Super- Genius- Husband and Super- Intelligent- Talented- Beautiful- Daughter both read all of my posts, I'm going to post about this so that no one in my family has the misguided thought that I'm not serious about this.

I really,
really DO want this.

What is it, you ask....
Well, IT is a Spode Bread Bin. Isn't it gorgeous? Isn't it just perfect in every way? It will be beautiful in my little kitchen. I can just picture it...
That's the power of positive thinking right there!

Does anyone think that was too subtle?
