Incognito In Sausalito

Color Of The week!

OPI has a new collection out!
It's called Venice and you can check it out here.

I used some restraint and only picked one color.
Worth A Pretty Penne

This was a very quick drying polish. Unfourtunatly it
hasn't worn as well as most of my OPI polishes do.
None the less, the color is beautiful on. Kind of a
rose gold.

Monday's Manicure

Oh! My! Gosh!
August is finally here,
but will the heat ever come to an end?
Well, at least we're in the bottom half of the summer!

I picked a super hot summer color this week.
Go With The Lava Flow from the OPI Hawaii collection

Love it! Lots of color and great wearing too.

Monday's Manicure

Hi Ya!

This week's mani is brought to you by
OPI'S DS Classic

Okay, so after wearing this for several days,
I have to ask myself, why do I ever wear anything but OPI nail polish?
I love the way 2 coats gives you a great finish.

Love the sparkle!
Not sure if the camera catches it... Can you see it?

One other item.... A couple of ladies have asked me
how do I store all my nail products and tools?

Here it is.... this is a craft box that I bought at The Container Store.
As you can see ... it keeps everything nice and neat.
Next week I'll show you where and how I store my polish.

Monday's Manicure or Monday's Mash-Up???

Hey Friend!
Glad you popped in.

This week's mani is a Frankenstein or maybe even more of a Mash-up.
I really am being good about not buying any new colors. So I hope
you aren't disappointed in not seeing in new reviews.
I'm just trying to be creative with what I have.

I think your going to be surprised at how many colors this really is!
GOSH! Love the shine in that top coat....

Okay! Here you go!
Coney Island Cotton Candy - OPI on the forefinger, pinky and thumb
Glamour Purse - Essie on the ring finger and middle finger
All fingers got one top coat of As Gold As It Gets - Essie
and then one coat of Shine Of The Times - Essie

All topped off with a coat of SecheVite Fast Dry Top Coat.

Monday's Manicure

Hey there!
Super quick update on the weekly mani. :)

Brought to you by OPI  2 coats of My Vampire is Buff
2 coats of Who Needs a Prince (for a gasoline finish)
And then finally Sugar Rush by Milani on my ring finger.
Love that stuff! It's like fun-fetti!

I'm Staring to new summer reads.....

Yes.... I picked them both based on their cover! (oh, the shame)

From the back of the book:
Three women’s lives are about to change because of a few delicate pieces of china...When Jenny Davis comes across a beautiful vintage tea set at an outdoor market in the English countryside, she’s convinced it’s fate. A young bride on a budget, she has her heart set on a vintage tea-party theme for her wedding—and the gorgeous gold-rimmed china before her is perfect. There’s only one problem. Two other women have fallen in love with it, too. So they come up with a solution: They’ll share it.
They establish a sisterhood, sharing the ups and downs of their lives—from broken hearts and weddings, to family drama and career dreams. When a figure from Jenny’s past threatens to ruin her big day, Alison’s teenage daughter pushes her to the limit, and Maggie’s romantic life is thrown into turmoil, the members of the Vintage Teacup Club band together—proving their newfound friendship will last a lifetime.
AND

From the back of the book:
Brokenhearted and still mourning the loss of her husband, Heidi travels with Abbott, her obsessive-compulsive seven-year-old son, and Charlotte, her jaded sixteen-year-old niece, to the small village of Puyloubier in the south of France, where a crumbling stone house may be responsible for mending hearts since before World War II.
There, Charlotte confesses a shocking secret, and Heidi learns the truth about her mother’s “lost summer” when Heidi was a child. As three generations collide with one another, with the neighbor who seems to know all of their family skeletons, and with an enigmatic Frenchman, Heidi, Charlotte, and Abbot journey through love, loss, and healing amid the vineyards, warm winds and delicious food of Provence. Can the magic of the house heal Heidi’s heart, too?

Have you started your summer reading list?
Do share!

Monday's Manicure

Hello!
Happy St. Patrick's day to you.
Today's mani is by OPI.
Gargantuan Green Grape.

What can I say? It's OPI and goes on like
a dream.

I hope you are having a great week!

Hey There!

Oh Gosh!
Has it been more than a week since I posted anything?
Yes... yes it has. Sigh.
I'm sorry.

Any way!
Here is last week's mani.
OPI Gouda Gouda Two Shoes
One of my all time favorite colors... EVER!
One of those great neutral browns that looks good with
everything.

This week is two new Zoya colors.

The light green is called Sage and it is part of the new
line and has a "satin" finish. Not matte and not glossy.
I'm not in love with it, to be honest. I have a hard time liking
the flat polish and I just love the gloss finishes.

The dark color is called Remy
And let me say this is one of the most beautiful polishes I
have ever seen. At one angle it's blue, then teal, then emerald.

I'm pretty sure that I'll be wearing it for St. Patties Day!

Monday's Manicure.... a little late

Hi my polished friends!

Just popping in to show you this weeks mani.
Sorry to be so late! eeeek! Is it Wednesday already?
Where does the week go?

This weeks color is by OPI ...Incognito In Sausalito
It is from the San Francisco collection a couple of years ago.
It looks black, but its actually a very, very, very, dark navy blue.

While I like it.... I'm not looking forward to the removal.
These types of colors have a tendency to stain. Yuck!

Any helpful types out there?

So I hope you have a great week.
I'm working on a couple of book reviews and another craft project.

Talk to you soon!

white dots - My Vampire is Buff by OPI
silver dots - Silver Glitter Nail Art Paint by Kiss

So that's it.
I hope you are having a wonderful week!

Hello my sweet friends.
The last mani of the year!

want anything to over-the-top.

Are you doing up your nails for the New Year?

Glitter = OPI, When Monkeys Fly

Some things I'm looking forward to this year:

Getting a few major repairs done to the house
Entertaining friends more
Possibly a family reunion in August
More knitting and crochet projects
More Manis
More reading
More time with Family

What about you?
Big plans for the new year?

I'm thinking about a word for the new year too.
I'll let you know.

I might not post again before the end of the year.
So I want to wish you a blessed and happy New Year,
with health and peace abounding.
I want to thank you for always stopping by to say hi
and to see what I'm up to.
