This.... Then That

This is what it was....

And now this is what it is!

I have a nasty habit of  "just running in to Goodwill" on my lunch hour.

Somedays, I seriously find nothing.
But then sometimes I find a little something so worth the stop.
This is what I found today.
A silver plate cake stand. Only $5.99.

I didn't even polish it! Just cleaned it up.

I added my little vignette and put a glass cover on it.

I'll be joining Marty for Inspire Me Tuesday.

Bargain Beauty

Just popping in to show off some bargains that I got last week.

A $90.00 bottle of fragrance at Ulta for $45.00 .... I used my reward points. LOVE those.

Butter Nail Polish.... $8.00 normally $15.00 a bottle.... I'm glad I got it on sale.
I really still like Essie or OPI the best.
But I do love their marketing!

Quick reminder...
Tomorrow is Fresh-Cut Friday.
I will have the linky tool up tonight at 6:00pm Phoenix / Mountain Standard time

Someone really should stop me!

I have a couple of weaknesses ...eh ...ok. OK! ...maybe a few weaknesses.

Beside the obvious ones;

roses, fresh flowers of any kind, dishes, sweet milk chocolate, coffee with half and half, any bible, books, shoes, handbags, clothes, antiques and not in any particular order.

I LOVE paper!

Notebooks with cute covers, Pretty scrapbook paper, even office supplies!

Oh! My! Goodness!

It's terrible!

Back-to-School is a horrible season of temptation for me. I'm not kidding! It's awful!

Going down the paper aisle at Target? BAD idea! VERY bad idea.

A couple of weeks ago I happily ventured down the sinner's aisle of temptation ...

And found ...

These on sale for $1.18 each!

(what's up with the .18 cents?)

Of course if one is good... then one in every combo is sweet perfection! Right?

Well, one thing that the good Lord blessed me with are people who enable this dreaded syndrome. Both my assistant and my daughter have the same affliction.

So when ever I see a sale I think of those around me so that I can help me justify my lack of self control.

Remember the e-reader covers that I made for those same girls? You can see them here.

How perfect are these for each other? Both girls got a selection of 3.

So anyway!

They say if you can admit to an addiction...

What about you? Anything your willing to admit to?

Goodwill Lace

I don't know if you have noticed but the cost of lace has sky rocketed.

So I have been hitting the thrift stores and I comb the clothes for fun buttons.

And the linens for lace.

I picked this piece up for $2.99. It looks so pretty against my burlap tablecloth.

I have a couple of ideas .... hhmmmm......

First Metamorphasis Monday For Me

Today is the first Met Monday that I have participated in. I was so tickled with this little project that I just had to show it off. It was inspired by Cherry at Cherry's Jubilee. Make sure you check out her very creative blog. It is a great source for inspiration.

Thanks Susan!

A Bargain or 2...

Last weekend I spent some time in my favorite antique mall, The Brass Armadillo. I can spend a 2-hour-lunch hour in there very easily! I am really trying not to spend a lot of money so I was pretty pleased with my self for walking out with change from a $20.00.

Look at these sweet hand embroidered tea towels. I have more than a drawer full of tea towels but I just couldn't leave these behind.

Berries
And cherries!

Some darling little girl patterns. I'm feeling inspired by Jane's Apron!

These mugs were only $4.99 for all 4. I thought that was fair. Especially since I was at Goodwill the other day and they wanted $1.99 for a nasty, yucky, ugly, Christmas mug. I'm not sure what's going on there?!

Has anyone else experienced stick shock at Goodwill?

Cindy's Centerpiece Party!

Today I am participating in Cindy's Centerpiece Party at My Romantic Home. I don't think anybody in bloggerdom doesn't know who she is. Her blog is beautiful and is just chuck full of lovely pictures and ideas for decorating and crafting. There will be lots of participants, I'm sure, with lots of wonderful creative ideas!

I didn't spend one (no not one) penny on this little centerpiece. The three tiered server was a Christmas gift from my Lovely Sister in Law. Of course I couldn't wait to use it. The valentines are even left over from last year.

So it really just goes to show you that all you really need is to use what you already have and a little inspiration... sigh... where would I be without my bloggin' buddies!!! :)

Happy Valentines Day!
