Happy Thanksgiving!!

And so the count down begins!
Are you ready?
We are. Actually we aren't hosting this year so things are
simple. I am taking a few dishes but that is so much easier
than having everyone over.

I thought that I would share one last Thanksgiving tablescape with you.

If you come by often you will notice some of the same things
and some different things.

But really it is always about using what you have in different ways.

I love it when I don't have to buy anything and I can still
end up with a totally different table.

The centerpiece is made up bits and pieces of all of my fall
decor. The bouquets are fall bouquets that I bought several years ago
for a fall bridal shower that I hosted.
NO! I don't save everything... just a lot.

Little wooden Indians and Pilgrims purchased at Michaels.... years and
years ago.

I hope you and your family have a Wonderful, Blessed, Safe and
Happy Thanksgiving!

Black Friday Breakfast

Hello my Love-a-Lees! :)
Do you have company staying with you over Thanksgiving?
Will you be spending the day after Thanksgiving shopping or decorating?

Either way, wouldn't be wonderful to send them off with a lovely
hardy breakfast?

That was my thought when I put this table together.

Saw these sweet plates at Walmart and had to have them!

Everyday flatware, mugs and glasses make for a casual, comfortable setting.

We will be decorating... what about you?

Ok.... I'm Happy!

It may be Sunday night, but it's true!
I'm a happy, happy girl!

Our weekend started with Michael Buble`
Just the 3 of us.... and 15,000 other fans!
What an AMAZING show!
No, we weren't this close. That is a shot of
the big screen. If you look down at the bottem
of the picture you can see the band.
Not only would I give it 2 thumbs up, I would go again!
THAT'S how really, really, GOOD it was.
And I rarely see performers twice.
 *
It has rained all weekend. Cold and wet!
I have been reading ... 1776 by David McCullough

It should be required reading!
We really don't know what a miracle America really is.
*
Hubs taught bible study this morning.
It is a pretty wonderful thing to see your husband in a spiritual roll like that!
*

Since we are having Turky day at my in-laws I thought that I would get head start
on the decorating.... No, I didn't put the tree up!
But I did get all of the pumpkins picked up.
Got some new Christmas Magazines.
AND I'm sipping from my new Christmas mug.
 *
So very much to be grateful for.
.... Christmas really is on the way!

Have a peaceful Sunday Evening!

New and Improved! or Room for a Bigger TV!

Oh! Hello There!
Really, so very glad your here!
I'm pretty excited to show you our new cabinet.
Black, French Country-ish and HUGE!
I LOVE it!
This is one of the few pieces of furniture that Hubs and I shopped for and
purchased together. We got it at the Potato Barn.  Funny name GREAT furniture!
 So many decorating possibilities.
LOOK! My oversized Blue and White tea cups look like the were made for this shelf. :)

Can you imagine ... in a week or 2?
Full of evergreens and hmmmm ????
Let me think. :)

Hubs didn't feature all the nooks and crannies .... DECORATED.
He thought that it would be full of books and DVDs.

 I said no no no....

THAT'S WHAT THE BOTTEM IS FOR!
Silly boys!

Have a good evening!

Winter Tablescape with Super Easy Cameo Napkin Rings

So I had this idea. I wanted a very romantic table using lace, wood, burlap and cameos!

The whole table just kind of came together. I mostly used items that
I already had.

The exception being the napkin rings and the wood chargers.

The napkin rings I made and the wood chargers I picked up Saturday.
I only picked up 4...but now I think I want to go get the rest of them.
I love layers...

So here's how I made my little napkin rings.

This is so simple... The pictures really explain it all.

Cut your TP roll in half... 2 and 1/4 inches.

A serrated knife works best. It won't tare up our roll.

 This burlap ribbon is awesome.
It already had the lace on it and it has the wire to make it fold-able.

Generously glue the folded edge and use your clothes pins to hold in place.

Now do the same thing with your velvet ribbon.

I held these in place with the clothes pins too. The velvet ribbon is
a little bit harder to work with.
Use your hot glue gun to glue on your cameo.
I got my cameos at HL on sale.
And there you have it!
I told you it was easy! :)
The possibilities are endless, I tell ya!
