A Pink and Green Tablescape Thursday

Many many more Beautiful Table scapes at Between Naps on the Porch.
GO SEE!

This pink and green table scape started out as a tea party.

I wanted to use some of my pretty serving pieces that I don't usually use.

I almost always go blue.
I just wanted you to know that I do have some other
things besides just blue and white.
: )

These glasses I picked up at Target years ago. They were part of the
Rachel Ashwell collection.

When I saw them I knew that they would go with this
April Cornell tablecloth perfectly.

See my pretty Brighton place cards. I love them!

After I took all my pictures.... I decided to try a different center piece.

Wouldn't this be sweet for a Little Girl's Tea or a Shower?

The sweet little pink plates under the tea cups are from
CeeKay at Thinkin' of Home.

Aren't they perfect?! Thank you CeeKay!

Girl Reading and Lunch With a New Friend!

A sweet little picture that my mom brought me a couple of weeks ago.

It sat on the dining room table for a long time before I found a home for it.
But I think it looks pretty here....

Yesterday, I had such a wonderful day. I actually got to meet CeeKay from Thinkin' of Home. She and I met for lunch and then went to Hobby Lobby. We had so much fun! I didn't even know that we had a Hobby Lobby in the Phoenix area but we do. We walked the isles and talked and talked. CeeKay is a delight and we have a lot in common. I don't think that we even had one break in the conversation!
She brought me the cutest little pink plates and a little antique doilie. I haven't found the perfect spot for them yet but when I do I'll feature them on Pink Saturday.

Here's a picture of the 2 of us.
And yes I'm breaking my one year rule and showing you a picture of me.
CeeKay is on the left and I'm on the right.

I hope everyone has a great week!

Doll in a Dome

She was in my Grandmothers guest room forever.
Her mother (My Great Grandma) made
these wedding dolls for both of her daughters in the fifties.
I think it was a crafting trend at the time but I'm not really sure.

I remember playing with her when I was a little girl. I had to sneak
though, because she wasn't for playing.
Just admiring!

She crocheted the little hat and dress....

My Grandmother's was blond and blue eyed. My Great Aunt's was
light brunette and blue eyed. I wonder if her granddaughter has hers?

I don't think I have ever seen these in the antique stores before. Has anyone else seen or inherited one? I think that she is lovely!

The Gift of Hospitality

"Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms."

First Metamorphasis Monday For Me

Today is the first Met Monday that I have participated in. I was so tickled with this little project that I just had to show it off. It was inspired by Cherry at Cherry's Jubilee. Make sure you check out her very creative blog. It is a great source for inspiration.
