I got it done!
The shower is Saturday, so I had plenty of time left over.
Simple granny rows with a double and single crochet
border.
I did a slip stitch row around the last row of shells.
I love how this outlines the edging. I did the same
thing on my daughter's afghan.
Sofia Le Girafe. Can anyone explain what the big deal
is about this rubber toy?
Apparently, it's "the thing" right now.
It's cute.... but I don't get it.
Pretty stacking boxes.
On to the next project!

Gorgeous! Love the colors.
Sophie is a true classic. She is French, extremely long wearing, her paint is food safe and the plastic she is made of is one of the safest available. She seems to become a favorite for every baby.
Wow...that is gorgeous, Liz. I love the colours you chose. What a beautiful gift for the mom and babe. My grand-children all had that little giraffe when they were infants. Our youngest, Gwyn holds hers all the time. :) Deb
It turned out beautifully, Liz. I really love the soft colours and the edging. What a beautiful gift! Yes, Sophia, the giraffe is very popular. Our first grandchild got 2 of them as gifts. They do like to chew on them!
Beautiful work!.. But as for the giraffe? It's cute, but it's the first time I've ever seen/heard about it! ~tina
Beautiful Liz...and the giraffe, although unknown to me is cute! She will love the gift!
LOVE it. Great job!
Ooooo cute but seriously overpriced Sophie. I would have loved her but I could never bring myself to pay for her.
Oh, it's beautiful, Liz! I love the colors and the way you packaged it is so dear. Congratulations! Hope you're able to sit back and relax a bit before the next project.
Lovely baby blanket! I love the colors! What brand of yarn do you use?
Liz, this is a treasure of a gift. Sophie is new to me, but reading the comments I think I need to get some of these to have on hand for baby gifts.
Love the sweet scissors. Do you know who makes those? I'm about as crazy for stitchery scissors as I am dishes. '-)
