Welcome!
I'm so glad you are here for Fresh-Cut Friday!
It is a busy time of year and I know the gardens are drying up.
But those of you that persevere ... or go to the flower shop...
have flowers to share.
So lets get to it.
I really was in a pinch this week. I literally went to the back yard and
picked lantana!
Short of cactus or Purple Desert Sage, it is the only thing still thriving.
If you are going to use it in an arrangement please keep in mind that it
needs to get in water right away. It wilts very quickly once it is cut.
You might also want to keep in mind that they are made of little tiny flowers and are
a little fragile. But other than that... They made a lovely little arrangement.
i used my mom's Verde Green Imperial Glass Candelsticks.
Purchased in the late 60's or early 70's the green dye for this glassware was actually
made from Arizona Verde Trees. They are now protected by
environmental laws and the fact that they are our state tree.
Who would have thought that when she bought them way back in the day,
while we lived in the heart of the Midwest, that we would eventually end up
in Arizona.
Ironic!
Right? :)
Nothing pops or is quite as classic as Blue, White and Yellow.
I hope you enjoyed my little impromptu arrangement.
Now I can wait to see your pretty displays.

Hi Liz! I'm loving your blue and white and especially with the burst of bright yellow lantana. Those candles are darling! Am I seeing teapots on them? Thanks for hosting your monthly party.
Hi Liz! Your info about the verde glass is so interesting! I had no idea that the trees were used! And I do love blue, white and yellow. I tried to add some lantana from my yard to my table bouquet but the little flowers feel right off and got on everything! I'm amazed that you were so successful with that beautiful arrangement--I had to take all the lantana out. Happy Fresh-cut Friday! Thanks for hosting. Linda
Beautiful mix of color...I'm loving the yellow lantana with the blue and white china on that darling tray:)The lantana looks so dainty and pretty! The Imperial glass candlesticks are looking so beautiful in your late summer vignette...never knew a tree can be used to dye glass, that's pretty neat:) Always fun to join fresh-cut Friday! Thanks for hosting! Have a lovely evening!Hugs,Poppy
I love the blue and yellow combo!
Your lavender is beautiful with your blue and white! Thanks for hosting!
These are darling!
LIz, your lantana is so pretty in the blue and white. Funny, when I was a little girl, lantana was one of my favorites because of the little bouquets. It still makes me smile! Thanks for hosting. I went out into the garden late this afternoon and put together a small bouquet to share. It's amazing what can survive in this Texas heat! Thanks for hosting each month.
Hi Liz,
What a sweet surprise to wake up to these dainty and beautiful bouquets! The blue and white complements the mustardy lantana perfectly! I have the same in the garden and they are quite fragile, but are always such a quaint and charming addition to my simple arrangements. I'm intrigued with your teapot candlesticks!!
Thanks for hosting and happy weekend!

This is just so pretty! I love how you show us that even a few flowers make a huge difference! I love the Verde glass and the history is fascinating! Thanks for linking to TTF this week.

I love the beautiful vase you were gifted, along with the fresh cut yellow lantanas. I love the teapots used as flower base, specially in blue and White with yellow...perfect! Thanks for the party and enjoy your weekend.

Love the blue and yellow combo. So cheerful!
Hi Liz, your arrangement is absolutely beautiful, one of my favorite color combinations...
timeless. I am so tempted to participate in your Fresh-Cut Friday party, but I post a Weekend Door series each Friday. My mind is spinning to see how I can combine the two. :)
I stopped by for a minute yesterday but could not comment because my husband was almost home for his birthday dinner and I had to rush. I received your lovely teacup and most generous package. It made the day all the more special. I absolutely love every detail, and how did you know shortbread is my favorite with tea? :)
Thank you, love. I look forward to posting at Stephanie's link party this week.
Much love.

Liz,
That looks like the same tray that I bought Nel for Christmas last year. I got mine at Pier 1 Imports. The flowers on your table are so pretty. I can smell the lavender from here.
Love,
~Sheri
Ooops, I meant purple desert sage. Is that similar to lavender and I'm wondering what it smells like?
Love,
~Sheri
