As some of you sweet friends know... My birthday was this week. I'll be sharing more about that later... But because my birthday is in October and my Sis-In-Law has her birthday in September we
celebrate together. So this Sunday evening was our family celebration. I had started her gift a couple of months ago but I was so happy that I got it finished in time for our get-together! We also got her this sweet little compote. If you love milk glass you will LOVE this stuff.
If you want to know how I made her scarf, you can click here or on my Ravelry page button on my sidebar.
Don't forget next Friday is Fresh-Cut Friday!
Have a great WEEKEND!
I'll be joining Claudia at Mockingbird Hill for Favorite Things Saturday!

Happy Birthday Liz! It sounds like you two had a lovely celebration and the scarf you made for your SIL is beautiful! I'm sure she will cherish it. :)

Lucky sis-in-law. Nice present. Happy Birthday x
The scarf is wonderful and so is the milkglass compote. Happy Birthday to you too. We missed you yesterday, so sorry you couldn't join us. Hugs, Marty
Hi Liz - so glad you found me 'cause now I found you. Love your blog. I see you have some beautiful china and I am in love with a particular tea-cup from a few posts back. Glad you enjoy my kitty pics. Would love to meet yours. Deb (Ontario, Canada)
Liz, that scarf is beautiful! I have to check out that pattern, as I love to crochet (although I'm so busy right now crocheting things for the shop that I barely have any time for something new!) Thanks so much for linking up this week and Happy Birthday!

Milk glass is so versatile to decorate with. I have a few of my mom's pieces.

Happy birthday! The scarf is beautiful. :-) Have a nice weekend. Regula
Happy Birthday to YOU! What a sweet milk glass piece. My grandma used to collect milk glass and when I was younger and in my "oh so contemporary stage" so I just did not "get it". Now however, I love it and wish that I had appreciated her collection sooner and am now starting my own from scratch. Your scarf is perfect too. I am really just starting to crochet (I know, where have I been) and will check out your pattern. Have a happy weekend.
Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
Oh, I wish I could do that! My sweet grandmother taught me to crochet years ago and I have lost the knack. This makes me want to dig out my supplies and start again. It is just beautiful! I also collect milk glass and love the piece you have featured. Thank you for dropping by Still Woods and following. I am about to be your newest follower! Blessings from Still Woods Farmhouse
Hi Liz,
Happy happy birthday to you! How sweet to celebrate with your sister-in-law. The scarf is gorgeous! I always am grateful for something made by a loved one; it makes it so much more special, doesn't it?
Have a happy Sunday!

I love handmade gifts, doesn't everyone? The scarf is so pretty, Liz! I love the milk glass compote, too!
Happy Birthday to you! I hope you had a wonderful day!

Such a lovely scarf and the yarn you chose is wonderful! It will be such a special birthday present! The hobnail compote is lovely too -- love milk glass! I'm a new follower too!
What a beautiful scarf. Gorgeous work. My sister crochets beautifully, and we call my mom the Queen of Crochet.
I absolutely love both the scarf and the milk glass - and the photos - so peaceful and perfect colors and texture.
