Shouldn't We Be Having Cake

This past weekend was the official celebration of the Diamond Jubilee. England's beloved
Queen Elizabeth II commemorates 60 years as
Her Royal Majesty.

Laura at Decor to Adore did a fabulous post on The Royals.  You should check it out.  I'm not sure what it is that I love about the Pomp and Circumstance of our cousins across the pond.  I think it is because we all started there and I feel in a weird way like they are our distant family. I wanna know what they are doing. Not everyone feels this way. My Hubs thinks it almost treasonous.  We are Americans after all.
What about you?
Yay or Nay on The Royals?

I was thinking of you on Saturday when I put together the rose centerpiece for my Jubilee table.

I am inclined to attend your church every 1st Saturday. I wore a hat at Easter and drew stares. Mostly it was from people in cut offs and flip flops to I am not worried. :)

I'm definitely Yay on the Royals as I'm Canadian and she is the official head of our country. Also, our heritage and ancestors are British and I am of Loyalist stock and we even have a Mayflower connection. I don't like all the publicity they get today but that is our world. Much has changed in the last 30 years to throw negativity on the Royals. Pamela

You know, I don't pay much attention to the Royals but I would love to have a piece of cake! :)
Thanks for popping in to see me and you can copy away on my little table runner. I made it really simply. I did line it but on the ruffles, I just cut them with pinking shears, ruffled them and sewed them down.
Let me know if you make one, I'd love to see it.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Your post is so funny about the royals. Sorry but I am with your hubby on this one. :). I do admire the queen greatly however, with her quiet elegance and of course in her position. Have a happy day. Linda
