I Actually Kept a New Year's Resolution!

Well... every once and a while you make a New Year's Resolution ....and actually keep it! My pantry is one of those "big plans" that we actually got done.

Let's take a look behind the door...
I feel pretty lucky in the fact that most of the "canned " goods go in another pantry. So I have plenty of room to organize.

One of the first things that I had my husband do for me was add these racks to the inside of the door....I think that I got them at Target. I got all of my spice jars from World Market and the labels are from Martha Stewart.

The top shelf is hot beverages...

Second Shelf...More spices, vinegars and rubs.

A shelf for baking stuff...

A shelf for sauces and handy stuff... and a shelf for pasta, rice, crackers, and nuts!

I hope that gives you some ideas for your pantry... Here's the best part...We did this right after the first part of the year...and I took the pictures the other day. Honestly! It has stayed nice and neat and organized. I'm shocked!

What about you?

Do you feel like your a better cook when your organized?

I can so relate. Yes I am a better cook when my pantry is sorted. I'm so happy that yours has stayed that way. I know that feeling of joy. It looks lovely by the way.

I work very hard to keep from being jealous, but whoops... all that lovely space to play with your pantry. It looks wonderful!
Love that tablecloth in your last post, too.

I love your pantry! Just today I was cleaning my kitchen cupboards and was dreaming about a nice and neat pantry. My kitchen is very small with only a few cupboards, but I hope that one day I will have a big kitchen and a pantry too.

Your pantry looks great and it really is organized well. We just renovated our kitchen and I now have a proper pantry with roll out trays. I love it as I can see everything better. What is the blue strip on the edge of the shelves? Just wondering. Pamela

I am impressed ! :D My pantry should look so good. My problem is - I don't cook like I use to, so don't stock and organize like I did in the past. I need to make a note: Clean out and organize pantry.

I think that is key - finding organization that works for you - when you do, it is easy - apparently, this works for you!!

It looks great...

Liz your pantry looks so pretty, neat and tidy! I love the sweet pantry sign on the door. My daughter organized my pantry a couple months ago and it still looks great!

Organized and charming. Love your pantry, everything is easy find and exactly where it should be! You and your husband created a perfect spot.

I am always a better cook with organization otherwise I might forget an ingredient!

Hi Liz. Thanks for leaving a comment and joining me as a follower of my blog xxx

I love your pantry too! Do you get as much satisfaction from it as I do mine, I can just stand in the doorway with a big smile on my face!! Sad I know, but hey!!

I would just love a pantry like that, and yes I feel so much more 'together' in the kitchen when it is organised. I start to feel a bit 'Nigella' and think about baking cakes.

Thanks for visiting my blog! I LOVE your pantry, I only have one drawer for my spices etc, but it is quite conveniently placed on my left hand-side when I cook! I do love being organised, cannot think otherwise!

Well, I am impressed and I have pantry envy. I only have as mall cabinet in my laundry room, so I have to stay organized or I am in BIG trouble!

Hi LIz,
I definitely feel like I am a better cook when I stay organized. I want to know where everything is in my kitchen and then I can quickly get it when it is time to cook!
I love your pantry, the fact that everything is right at hand is a lovely idea.
I don't have one cupboard for that I actually have about four. But they are all small and they do the trick!
Good for you that you have kept it tidy and organized, that is the tricky part!

I am reading the Provence Cure next week. It looks promising!

Actually, I am glad I read My American Unhappiness. I truly could not tell whether the author believed all of Zeke's nonsense because Zeke is such a complete mess! I thought it was funny that Zeke's mom watched Fox News and Zeke scoffed about it being "fair and balanced", yet Zeke got most of his news from NPR. As if NPR is fair and balanced. Riiiiiight. But Dean P. is a very good writer, I will certainly give him that.

Thanks for stopping by, and you can read my Literary Friday post about The Provence Cure on Friday, July 8th.

Sorry I had to post this here, but I had no way of emailing you since you left a "no reply" comment.
