Tea Towel Rack and Shelf

Here's my dirty little shelf that I bought at the
same time that I bought my shabby little tool box.

I just cleaned 'er up and repainted it black. Not bad for .99 cents.

The little spectacles are just decorative... I would love to find some real ones.

These are those tea stained linen towels....
One of them is from my friend Lisa at Hospitable Pursuits (thank you, Lisa)

This is just a wall in our bedroom....

I thought it turned out cute.
I love cheap crafting days!

Liz, what a great shelf. I love the vignette you have arranged on it. The towels are stunning. Don't you just love finding a great treasure. You asked about Table Top Tuesday. Yes, it will be every week. I think it will be a lot of fun. Thanks for stopping by and I can't wait for you to join us. Your shelf would have been perfect for this week because it includes all vignettes on any surface not just tables. Hugs, Marty

Hi Liz
Isn't it fun to find a bargain and turn it into something beautiful or useful,or both? It turned out great. I made the quilt. It's my own design and my inspiration was all my blue and white china.

How pretty that black shelf looks with the gorgeous monogrammed linen. I also love the photo in your most recent post witht he fruit on the plate stand and that *darling* rooster lamp {I have the same one}! Yes, that was me who made the positive comment on JoanneHudson.com--I love my butter slab and am waiting on the cheese slab to come back in stock:) Like you, I looked for it forever!

I love things like this...makes you feel good when you can take something plain or ugly and turn it into something beautiful or at least quirky (sp?). I love having things that are different..it's what makes life interesting! Take care.
