It was Thanksgiving And Then It Was Christmas! Where Did The Time Go????

This is the look you'll see early
Thanksgiving Day

at our house. I will be up early having my first cup-a-joe and working on the menu and putting finishing touches on the table and around the house.

The Menu
Honey Herb Turkey
Cornbread Dressing
(I make mine sweet and savory. What do you like?)
Potatoes augratin (SMIL will be providing... she makes the best!)
Sweet potatoes 50's style (marshmallows on top...you either love'um or hate'um)
Roasted Asparagus Spears
Homemade Dinner Rolls (SSIL is making her specialty)

Apple Pie (My SM will be bringing hers)
Pumpkin Pie (My SM makes the best I've ever had)
Cherry Pie (SSIL will also be bringing her's... ALWAYS a taste treat)

At some point during the day we always watch
A Christmas Story
.

It's a rule not to be broken. It just gets us in the mood.

Then on Friday, Saturday and Sunday....

Its up early to get my Christmas on!

I hope all of my wonderful blog friends have a blessed and wonderful Thanksgiving! I am so humbly grateful for each and everyone of your friendships. You mean so much to me. You take the Turkey!

Liz,
I love your Thanksgiving plans! First of all, LOVE your china pattern. The coffee cup, love it. I collect all kinds of Johnson Bros. Meakin & even some brown calico. Secondly, your menu. Turkey and dressing sounds great, I also like it sweet and savory. I have to have mashed potato's tho. It's our tradition. To go with the gravy. And lastly, your movie selection is the best. I wish you and your family a fantastic memorable Thanksgiving. Lisa
PS Hope you find lots of goodies on Friday.

Oh, this made me feel so warm inside, Liz!! I love hearing what other families do for the holidays (maybe I am just nosy!!). ;-)

I am trying my best to get things done early without stressing out. You make it sound SO easy!!

Have to watch the Christmas movies everyday until the big day!! There are so many and new ones all the time. It's my favorite pastime and probably why I never get anything done! lol!!

Hope you and your family have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving!

xoxo
