1 of 101 Things To Do With A Cake Mix

When I was a little, little, little girl, I wanted to be just like my mom and wear an apron and BAKE! One of the ways she started teaching me was with cake mixes. This is really a wonderful way to get your kids in the kitchen and provide them with a really fool proof baking project. Of course, later I moved on to more difficult and challenging recipes.

A few years ago I came across this darling little spiral bound book full of easy and fun desserts that you just can't mess up. I have made several of the recipes and they were all pretty tasty. So with all the hub bub about the Julie and Julia project I thought that it would be comical to make every single one of the recipes in this book. HA! (By the way, LOVED the movie, hated the book!) So here you have it the first in a series of 101 recipes.

White-Chocolate Fudge Bars
  • 1 chocolate fudge cake mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 3/4 white chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix together cake mix, eggs, and oil. Stir in white chocolate chips.
Mixture will be stiff.

Press dough into a greased 9x13-inch pan.

Bake 14-16 minutes.

Serve warm or at room temperature. Can be topped with favorite frosting,
if desired.

Yum! Sounds easy and delicious. Just perfect with a cup of coffee.

Now you'd better spread these recipes out or I will be gaining weight!

Those bars would go wonderfully with a cup of tea right now! Yummy! That books seems like a great one! I didn't like the Julie & Julia book either. I haven't seen the movie yet but it looked like it was going to be better than the book. Glad to hear it was!
