Trim The Tree Thursday

It is Trim The Tree Thursday again and Today I am going to show you my blue and white family room. This is the most lived in room in the house. The cats sleep on the furniture and under the tree! : )

If you want to see an incredible victorian home (along with many other participants) zip on over and say hi to Brett at Southern Hostess. It is well worth the click!

The big thing in our Family Room is the "White House Christmas Tree" . I started this tradition a few years ago because I had collected so many of the ornaments from the White House Historical Society. The are absolutely beautiful in their detail. I have given many of them away as gifts over the years. I also recently started the US Capitol ornaments too. There still isn't quite enough to fill a tree so I supplement with blue birds, and other blue and white ornaments.

These are some close ups... sorry! some of the close ups are a bit blurry... It is very difficult to get a close up with my camara.... However! I think that Santa is bringing me a new one.... I HOPE! I HOPE! I HOPE! Okay... I'm pretty sure... : )

If you are interested in the White House Ornaments or the US Capital Ornaments just click on the links for each.

How elegant your family room is. I had no idea that you could purchase ornaments from the White House. That's so cool. I love the ornaments. I will have to go to your link to check it out.
Thank you for sharing your home with us.
Merry Christmas!

Good morning Liz :)

I love your tree! I want those ornaments now too :)

Your Thanksgiving table looked gorgeous! Any kind of chocolate is great with me, so pumpkins are perfect ;)

Liz, I have the same white house ornaments! I have them on a silver tree in my dining room. Maybe I'll post those next week! It was fun seeing some of "my" ornaments on your tree!

I was so enamored of the white house ornaments that I missed the darling snowman display and the santa display! Cute, cute and more cute!

Liz, your White House ornaments are just wonderful. How sentimental to have a tree that symbolizes the USA!! Just gorgeous!

How nice of Santa to bring you a camera! I have that on my list of "must buys" for next year.
