Yet ANOTHER New Coffee Maker!

How long does your coffee maker last? It seems like if we get 18 months we're doing great! Have they stopped making them to last? My parents have an old Mr. Coffee that is something like 10 years old! And they are MAJOR coffee drinkers. Anyway! We have a new Cuisinart. So far, I am happy with it. I like the 10 cup thermal carafe (which we had, before but was only 8cups) You don't have to worry about the coffee staying hot for hours.

A new coffee maker justifies a new coffee cup. Yes?
I picked this one up at Anthropologie.

Join me for a piece of fake cake (I'm still on my diet) and a fine cup of coffee?

We had a Bunn cofeemaker for over 10 years and now we have a new one...I'm going to stick with it!

Love your sweet table vignette, the cake does look good enough to eat!

I truly don't think things are made to last anymore. It's almost as if they come with an internal calendar of about 13 months. At least that's how it's been with both my bread machine and my toaster. On the other hand, my parents have a freezer they bought in 1961...and it's still operating. I'm pretty sure freezers made nowadays wouldn't last for nearly 50 years.

The cake looks delicious...SO real looking.

Blessings,
Patti

We have a Keurig...I adore it. I hope it lasts a while. The cup is so cute...still I have never been to that store!

We, like you, go through coffee pots way too soon. I've been pleased with the Cuisinart Automatic Grind & Brew. We especially like the Eight O'clock coffee . . .M-m-m, is it morning yet? Enjoy yours!
Fondly,
Pat

I have rediscovered the old time electric percolator and the delicious coffee that it makes. I was remembering the origianl Mr. Coffee and how it seemed to live on and on. They just might have quit making them to last, hum..

Hi Liz! LOVE your little coffee corner!.. But yes, I agree! I don't think they make coffee makers like they used to. At the rate mine go in the last few years, I think a year and a half sounds 'round about right!.. But I'm glad to hear what makes and models of coffee makers you and the other girls like.. I know I'm due for a new one soon! ~tina

Well...I'm a tea drinker so I can't advise too muchon the coffee maker. Ours has lasted at least 7 years - a Cuisinart - but doesn't get very much use. But, I love your new coffee cup with that cute polka-dot saucer. Adorable!
I hope you'll drop by for a visit sometime!

My last coffee maker filled with ants when I made pumkin flavored coffee. They were laying eggs in there over the weekend (I forgot to clean it), yuck. So I sprayed them and then realized what I did so I tossed it. I could have never used it again anyway! I buy cheap coffee makers usually now but would like a Bunn like Jane has in the first comment. Thanks for visiting me. hugs♥olive

Very nice photos, yep, coffee pots don't last and a lot of them don't get hot enough either. I have a Kuerig too, the one that makes individual cups love that also. Would love a Bunn but no room and not enough money!!

What an adorable cup...and your photos are awesome.

The freezer jam is the easiest thing I have ever done in my entire life.
And, yes, you do store it in the freezer..buy little freezer proof jars, fill them up after you mix the crushed fruit and sugar and freezer mix. It is just like fresh fruit..very different from the traditional jams and jellies.
Hope you love it and I think you will.
Oh, and it will be PERFECT for gifting..just take a jar out of the freezer, tie a pretty ribbon and they will love it, too. :))

Oh I love your new coffeemaker. I agree, they don't last nearly as long as they use too. I really like the pretty vignette you've created next to it. Love that cute little new cup and saucer too. Very pretty. Thanks so much for linking to TTT. Hugs, Marty

I am a tea drinker, so I don't have a coffeemaker. But I surely do love the smell of fresh coffee brewing! Pretty table. Linda

Your pictures are all so pretty. We recently got our 3rd Cuisinart coffee maker. It seems to me like each one lasted between 18 months and 2 years. This last one makes 14 cups. We never drink that much, of course, but I make about 6 cups and when we have company I can always make more.
Love the Anthropology stores.
Enjoy your coffee.

I AGREE!
We have the same model in both the motorhome and our home. The one in the MH died on a Friday as we were leaving, so we grabbed the one from home. Unfortunately it died the very next day.
And these puppies ain't cheap!
I've learned my lesson - I sent in the warranty cards and kept my receipts.
You got an adorable coffee cup. I love finding new pretty ones. Think I may have to pay the mall a little visit - cause I love yours!
This was a terrific post! Spoke right to me!
:) Have a good weekend! Karen

Things aren't made to last like before. We have gone through many coffee makers, too.

I LOVE your new cup! I need to get to Anthropologie! I also like how you recreated the cover of Victoria magazine. Liz, you have such a knack for display and your photos are gorgeous!

hugs to you,
