So I thought I would try my hand at coffee staining...
Here's what I did...
Here's what I did...
I printed that great quote that I told you I love. I used a font called
Bleeding Cowboy. You can read it here if you can't read the photo...

I literally used that mornings leftover coffee grounds. I just kind of let it drip and I dabbed the whole page so that the effect would be all over the page. I also let some of the grounds fall on the paper. I think that you should have no white left. But that's just opinion. Also, I covered the page with a paper towel so that it would not be to wet.
Here is my final project.

What a neat technique! I had never seen that done before... I'm always looking for a way to make my projects look more vintage! Thanks for the inspiration!
Liz,
It turned out beautifully! I've never dyed paper before. Only fabric...with mixed results. I will try this out. Thanks for all the how-to's.:)

I like it! Makes it look old!
so very pretty! the only thing i've dyed with coffee is an old tablecloth--i loved the color that came from it. the paper looks fabulous the way you finished it off! love that quote!
What a messy, I mean pretty project! I wonder if you could spray the coffee on it with a spray bottle...
It looks great finished and I like the poem. I looked it up.
Wow, what a great technique! And a lovely final finish. I will keep that idea for future reference. Thanks!
