The Pleasure of Your Company

Saturday was our annual Ladies Spring Luncheon and Tea.
And I have to say it was hands down our best yet!
Each and every table is unique and as personal as its hostess.

44 tables and not one single more! The Fire Marshall side "That's IT!"
Over 440 women! Isn't that amazing? Many of whom had never been to a church event for women.

Here is a snap of the team.
I am so blessed, honored and proud to be a part of such an amazing group of ladies.
They each and everyone have their own gifts that they bring to the ministry.
Front: Pam Lamb, Vicki Voyce (she is the boss! nothing happens without her) Debi Rigg, Michelle Lawson, Susan Loller, Pat Cannon, Nancy Hunt, Elizabeth Nevell, Jeanne Houser, Me, Jan Payne, Susan Leabonner.  Not pictured: Jo Hale and Sandy Pennington

There is so much work to a big event like this.
And they do it all as a ministry of love.

These are a few pictures of the table that I hosted.

I used my Father-In-Law's old Royal Typewriter. Talk about using what you have!

Our theme was " The Pleasure of Your Company".
I tried to carry that through the whole decor.

Including the favors. This is just a Dollar Tree compact mirror that I dolled up a little.

I love my new old Homer Laughlin tea cups! They were the color inspiration.

The ladies at my table were from all different areas of my life.

Here's one that you might recognize....
Sorry for the "soft focus".
We neither one took this picture,
but it is still cute.

Laura from Decor to Adore! How fun is that!?

HospitaliTEA

This morning was the annual Spring Luncheon and Tea at
North Phoenix Baptist Church.

This year's theme was hospitality. Our Pastor's sweet wife shared some of her experiences serving and living the life the "First Lady of the Church".  Isn't that a great title?
Anyway one of the things that she said really stuck with me.
"If nothing is going on, then make something happen."

This year we had 355 ladies. That's 36 tables!
All decorated to the hilt!

See those fellas in the black slacks and white shirts? Those are our deacons.
They always
serve the ladies and do a fantastic job!

It was a fun way to spend a Saturday.

Sweet Images

Friends come and friends go, but a true friend sticks by you like family.
Proverbs 18:24

Just some sweet images from our Spring Tea this year. I just thought that I would share these.

It is so hot here and not much going on.

I hope you are staying cool!

Ladies Ministry Spring Tea and Luncheon

This is what I spent my Saturday doing.... Having tea with the ladies.... over 420 ladies that is...

The Spring Tea and Luncheon at North Phoenix Baptist Church has become such a huge event that even with over 420 ladies attending... We still had ladies on wait list. It is so much fun to be a host at this event.
As a Host you are responsible for decorating your table, and bringing whatever accessories you need. The church supplies the buffet (we have a full kitchen staff with chef) and the basics like lemon, sugar, salt and pepper, flatware, hot water, ice water, ice tea, and even cups and saucers if you need them. I know in blog land we can't imagine that, but not everyone has 10 cups and saucers, and the event is for everyone!
Friday night is set-up and then Saturday is Tea Time! There is usually an inspirational speaker. This year it was Pam Kanaly. She was awesome. She spoke about being a woman of influence and what your legacy will be. Your influence is your legacy and it is the only thing that we leave behind when we are gone. What is your influence?
Just look at all these tables. These ladies go all out. Every guest at this table got to take home a single tulip!
Hey! What's in the pink bags?
Don't you love these retro cups and saucers?

This gal drew inspiration from her Mother. Using pictures to tell how she had influenced her growing up.

Just had to have a close up of those roses!

This sweet lady made 5 of these gorgeous rose topiary trees.

Look closely at this table.... Yup! That's a fish tank with lilly pads all the way around it. But here's the kicker... the lilly pads were candles that the table guests got to take home!

How sweet is this precious tea set?

That isn't even half of the tables. I have saved several (including mine) to share with you on Tea Time Tuesdays. This is a new party that Barb at Grits and Glamour is starting on May 12th.
