Workin' it out

Hey friends!
I'm up to no good and playing in the dishes again.
It's my favorite part of entertaining.
I love having lots of time to plan and work it all out.

Today I'm trying different table settings for Thanksgiving.
Somethings I know I will use, as we have enough for 12.

The Blue Danube

The Threshold gold flat ware that I got from Target.
(so glad I picked these up)

And I'm love love Loving! The navy buffalo check napkins
that I got in the dollar spot at Target.

What I'm still playing with are the chargers and placemats.

The wood chargers look rustic. Don't you think?

Adding the orange napkins really brings warmth to the setting.

I'm really liking this one.... But then ....

Who knows!

It could end up totally different!
I picked up some DARLING little white pumpkins..... hhmmm.

Happy Independence Day...a day early.

America loves her red roses, doesn't she?
This is such a very easy table and centerpiece.

The bowls are prep bowls. I have a set of blue ones and
a set of red.

Two dozen grocery store red roses. That is all that I spent.

Seriously simple for a simple meal.

After the meal I wanted to keep the theme, so I picked a few
items and put them on my new tray from Hobby Lobby.

Did you know... that the tradition of fire works started on
the 4th of July in 1777 when 13 rockets were sent into the sky
in honor of the 13 colonies?

That is how it all started.

We're off for some fireworks and ice cream.
I hope you are having a wonderful celebration and
that you enjoy your day tomorrow!

Hydrangea Blue Table Scape

I did it....

I went back and forth.
(inner dialog) .... yes...no...yes?...no! .....YES!

I bought some solid blue plates that match my chairs.
They are an exact match!

They are from Target.  Not a big commitment or investment.

I love them and I can't wait to have a dinner party to use them.

I did get rid of some plates that I wasn't using anymore.

That's the house rule: If something new comes in, then something has to go out.

Anyway, that's my story. :)

SO! Let me ask you:
How do you maintain your hoarding?

I'll be joining Marty for Inspire me Tuesday

Tulips on Saturday

So ... on Wednesday I bought some lovely tulips at Safeway. Here it is Saturday
and I'm still loving having them on the dinning room table.
So happy that I bought two bunches!

As you can see all of Christmas is put away and we are in full gear
for the new year. I'm always sad to see it go. Christmas is my Favorite!

I'm not making any great New Year resolutions. I've thought about it, a lot,
and I'm just really wanting to be a better wife, mom, daughter and sister.
I don't exactly want to be so much thinner as more healthy.
I don't really want to read the bible in a year, but actually work on
my relationship with my Savior.
I think if I can accomplish that, I'll be happy!

I have a few projects that I am working on. Mostly small, easy, quick projects.
You know I love the easy stuff.
We have some HUGE projects to do on the house.
Paint (exterior)
Roof repair (hopefully not a new roof)

What about you?
Any big plans?

 Hey there!
Look at these darling little appetizer plates!
Got'em for my birthday from my favorite daughter.

I started playing around with them and ended up with
a full on tablescape!

We've been having so much fun getting ready for the wedding.

I can't believe it is here next week.

I can't wait to show you the fun!

Are you ready for Thanksgiving Dinner?
