Fresh-Cut Friday #21 Flower of the Month... Daisies!

It's time for Fresh-Cut Friday...
Welcome!
Welcome!
Welcome!
So glad your here.
The Flower of the Month is the Daisy.
I love Daisies! I think they are one of the sweetest flowers out there!

Inexpensive, versatile, long lasting, and durable are some of the words that come to mind if you ask me to describe a daisy.

Today I am featuring the Flower of the Month at a Great Gatsby themed Tea.

So let's get started.

First, let's gather up all our best silver and linen...
Because Jay Gatsby would only want Daisy Bucannon to be served the very best!

Make sure that it is polished to a mirror finish...
"You don't mind, do you Old Sport?"

The table is set for 3 at sweet Nick Caraway's (our host) home.

We'll remove his place setting now... Because this is really just about Jay and Daisy!

The fair is light...

Sweet coconut cookies...

Fresh Strawberries and Grapes...

And lots of tea...

To bad Daisy Bucannon wasn't as sweet as her name sake!

In case your wondering... The Great Gatsby is my new all time favorite book!
What about you? Do you have an all time favorite?

  1. So wish I could come over for tea. Splendid! The polka dots are a nice touch.

  2. Hi Liz, this is such a clever post! Those dishes are beautiful and I think Daisy and Jay would enjoy this. I carried a bouquet of daisies when I got married--you are right--they are inexpensive and that was important at that time. But they are also sweet and pretty and you can play "he loves me..." We don't have any daisies yet up here in New England, even in the nurseries, so I am linking my Easter flowers for the table--daffodils and phlox. Hope you enjoy them! Linda
