On the flip side of that... I want everything to be perfect. sigh.... I can never have both.
So, to me, I think a wonderful weekend is when I feel like I got a lot accomplished.
This weekend was one of those weekends!
by Tatiana de Rosnay.
This was a great book.
I had never heard of or read about the Velodrome d'Hiver roundup that happened in Paris in July of 1942. It was horrifying. It was fasinating. I would definitely recommend it.
I do love this color though. OPI "The Color To Watch"
Sunday we went to Low's and got some flowers and got them all potted and planted in the raised bed. Isn't that a gorgeous color?!
Sunday night I got to finish this awesome read.
Heaven is for Real: A Little Boy's Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back
by Todd Burpo
This was wonderful! I loved it. Again, I would definitely recommend it.
Finally... I found a lavender rose! Pretty darn excited about this.
It's a Hybrid Tea Rose and it is called Moonlight Magic.
It is soaking and will be planted tomorrow after work.
So! What is the big project that I need to start and finish?
I need to go through the craft room!
UGH!
What are you putting off?
the fact that you are planting sounds good to me. I have read parts of the second book.
ReplyDeletesounds like a good weekend lots of reading.
Cathy
You accomplished a lot this weekend. It will be a long time before we can plant any flowers here. It is snowing right now.
ReplyDeleteI read "Heaven Is For Real" too and it is a great book.
Have a great week.
Barb
You got so much done!! Good for you Mama! :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like we both had a good reading weekend. I am supposed to read Sarah's Key sometime. Maybe soon would be good! :)
ReplyDeleteA perfectionist and a procrastinator...you described me perfectly! I have been putting off cleaning out my linen closet and I have finally decided today is the day!
ReplyDeleteYou did get a lot done this weekend! I love that you can plant in your garden already. The purple/blue rose is just gorgeous! I hope my one little gal makes it through this winter!
Have a wonderful week, Liz!
XO,
Jane
Wow, it sounds like you got a lot done this past weekend. I got lots of little things done(the more fun things)but the big tasks still await my attention. I pruned my front yard roses on New Years(that's my little tradition)and this weekend I got some pansys for my hanging pots. Went to LB Flea Market and did lots of reading and watched Downtown Abbey on PBS
ReplyDelete...love those sets!
Have a great week.
I am putting off painting because it is so darn cold inside the house! I just turned-up the heat.
ReplyDeleteI will put Sarah's Key on my wish list.
What am I putting off doing? Lots! I need to get motivated. I had to stop and think where you live, that you are planting flowers now. :D
ReplyDeleteLooks like 2012 is off to a great start for you, Liz! Happy week...Tanya
ReplyDeleteI finished the novel..Something Borrowed by Emily Griffin, and have started to clean out the basement. it's too cold to work outside and we do have enough snow to keep everything buried..
ReplyDeleteYou sure accomplished a lot.
I'm cleaning out my computer..wow, do I have a lot of stuff in this magic box..
Enjoy the time..
I've been thinking I want to read Sarah's Key. Glad to get your recommendation. Sounds like you did have a productive weekend. laurie
