A Good Weekend!

It was a great weekend! We got to spend some time with Sweet Daughter AND her Handsome and Charming, Special, Someone! There was food, there was fun and of course shopping.
Sweet Daughter got new riding boots, which are to die for!

SO! I got my old boots out, oiled and readied for them for the coming boot days.

Next week it SHOULD be around 97 degrees.
Why, for us, that's practically autumnal!
(isn't that a great word?) So the end of the worst weather is near.

    Yuck - that is hideously hot...we are just breaking into the low seventies which is unseasonably cool for us but feels fabulous nonetheless.

    I am loving the cooler temps this week. I love fall. Oh and I had a Pumpkin Spice Latte today - YUM!

    The boots are super cool. This morning we were in the 50's. After too many hot and humid days, I loved it.

    Thank you for the visit and kind comment.
    I live in Oklahoma...we broke heat records here this summer.. over 60 or so days of over 100 degrees. We average 10 per summer! I know how you feel 97 is a walk in the park now.
    Boot season...my favorite. Can't wait to be back into them again. Your boots are wonderful..such character.

    Liz, great vignette with the lace and boots. Your family weekend sounds a lot like mine. Its always the best when family comes home for weekends. Your daughter's new boots are great, I'm sure she loved them.

    crazy about those boots! We got some cool yesterday which was soooooo refreshing. I even loved the fact that it rained all day. Maybe the house so cozy. :) HWW

    We, too, are having lower temps and that sure makes us all happy.:))
    I got out a pumpkin candle yesterday and my whole cottage smelled of Thanksgiving. :))

    One of my daughters wanted to switch to Western, and I was scared to let her because the tack and everything was so much more expensive than riding English, LOL! Although I had to buy my daughter a new pair of Ariats this week because she has grown so much this summer!!!

    Our temps in Kentucky dropped 40 degrees. We are having a false fall this week and it is kind of nice after so much hot weather.

    Great photos of your boots, love them! Can you believe that I live in Nashville and don't have a pair!
    They are on my list, I love boots!
    There is a shop in Nashville where you buy 1 pair and get one free. My daughter and niece did that when she and my sis were visiting, don't know why my sister and I didn't at the same time! Getting a pair is #1 on my list for fall!

    What a great pair of boots..I'm a boot person and could wear them all the time..but with the heat still hanging around I dont think I will be removing my flip flops too soon.LOL! have a great weekend...
