A Fun Project! AND 2 Quesitons!

This was such a fun and easy little project. I was cleaning out a closet in my
craft room and found all these "left over and abandoned " frames.
They were all in the same 5x7 size range but none matched.
So I painted them all black.

I laid them all out in a pleasing arrangement and got my glue gun out. I glued them in place and then chose a couple of joints and bound them with a natural colored twine.
I then embellished the bound joints with some old earrings. These just happen to be some earrings that I wore in my best friends wedding back in the 90's. Yes! LOL! I kept them all this time. LOL! Love you Debi!
It still needed something so more soooo I added some pretty Jane Austin cards that my sweet daughter gave me for Mother's Day. I love them!

Some tiny paper roses... love these... I bought a whole bag of these for about $1.

This is my finished project... I think it is cute. I hung it in my office/craft room.

On a different note: The difference between a studio and a craft room?
What do you think? What's the difference between an Artist and a Crafter?

  18. I love your little frames collage...so unique and the jewelry and cards make it special...
as to the Artist vs. Crafter...they are synonymous.
But I tend to think of it as City Mouse- Country Mouse. (tomAto- toMAHto) ...

  22. So very pretty! When I saw the frames all grouped together I was thinking of what I would do with them. Loved your embellishment pics, that is the exciting part for me, finding the right combination and trying things out. Studio or craft room? Studio for me used to be stand alone building away from the house, craft room is now a commandeered bedroom. Studio connotates a bit of separation in my mind but I don't know why. All I know is I NEED MORE ROOM! lol

  23. Great project.

    Questions:
Too much to ponder right now. =)
Maybe Artist, and Studio, just sound fancier. =)

  27. I love this project. How clever and unique.

I am a crafter. I can make anything as long as I can see it or a picture of it.

An artist is someone who can take a bunch of different shaped and size frames and make a piece of art.

  28. What a unique piece - Simply gorgeous! The prints are so pretty! What a great question =) I always associate an artist with a studio and a crafter with a craft room! I consider an artist to be somewhat professional in one particular field. I'm just a good ole crafter...I make use of what I have available ..never with rhyme or reason. I call my craft room my workshop. It's not at all glorious or pretty but I love the space. Proably all one in the same though some may beg to differ! =) Thanks so much for joining The Sunday Showcase Party. I greatly appreciate it! ~ Stephanie Lynn

  31. So cute!! Very clever of you!

In my humble opinion - 'cause I consider myself a crafter and absolutely not an artist - I can hot glue, tape, or assemble quiet a bit but ask me to draw or paint something and it ain't gonna happen!!

  32. Hi! Thanks for popping by my blog to comment. I've been nosing around yours a bit, and I really love the frame project.

I tend to think of artists as people who create within a specific medium, whereas I'll tackle just about anything.
