Truvia

I tried this a couple of weeks ago and I think I really like it. I don't normally care for the 0 calorie sweeteners for two reasons. They never taste right and they have so many scary chemicals in them.

Truvia is made from only the best tasting and sweetest part of the stevia plant.
Truvia only has 3 ingredients. 1. Erythritol - A naturally fermented sugar alcohol found in grapes and pears 2. Rebiana - Their brand name for the stevia product 3. Natural Flavors - Used to bring out the flavor, as salt and pepper would for meat,

I like it better than Splenda.

  4. I'll have to try it. I use Splenda some, hard to get away from sugar. Sounds like a good alternative.

  5. But there is something about Rebiana that you don't know. That is it is purified using methanol (wood alcohol, a poison) and that you get a little bit of methanol in every grain or Truvia. So I hope you enjoy that. If you want to see the truth, go to steviawizard.blogspot.com, or my stevia page on Facebook (link there from my blog.) Please let me know what you think and if I can give you any more "factual" information. Steve

  6. Oh and I forgot to mention this, in case any of your readers are interested Rose, the Erythritol that Truvia uses comes from GMO corn. So if you want an Erythritol that is resistant to pesticides, that is the product to use. Steve

  9. Hi Liz. I've never heard of Truvia! At first when I read your post title, I thought you had misspelled the word trivia and was going to post about the game! :)
Oh, now I guess you could use a real artechoke is you could hull it out!
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)

  10. I tried it also and at first I liked it, but not in my iced tea! It doesn't dissolve the way Equal or Sweet and Low does. But it tastes so much like sugar!!!
