I can see why it was a banned book. Yes, only adults should read this. It was the first full book I had read that left me wondering "WHY" did I bother, why is this a classic, why did I have to read this, and what WAS his point? My hs senior has not read it yet. I don't think she will. There are other ways to learn about that time period. :) April Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17742772422750681492noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1420094293115046964.post-70223726407123043582014-08-30T07:38:16.335-07:002014-08-30T07:38:16.335-07:00The only Steinbeck book I liked was The Red Pony. ...The only Steinbeck book I liked was The Red Pony. Yes, you have to wonder WHY some stories are required reading. How about making Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs required. ha!Sweet Cottage Dreamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05585280807777813283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1420094293115046964.post-47669932376291952882014-08-29T19:35:28.053-07:002014-08-29T19:35:28.053-07:00Yes I read catcher in the Rye as an adult and left...Yes I read catcher in the Rye as an adult and left me scratching my head why it was a classic and everyone was so excited about it.<br />Cathyacorn hollowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10503414190541111706noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1420094293115046964.post-34575539554810903302014-08-29T14:41:59.223-07:002014-08-29T14:41:59.223-07:00
